GetYano – Terms & Conditions (Philippines)

Effective Date: August 20 2025

Welcome to GetYano (“the App,” “the Platform,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading, accessing, or using GetYano, you (“User,” “Customer,” or “Service Provider”) agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.


1. Platform Role

  • GetYano is a digital platform that connects customers with independent service providers.

  • GetYano does not directly provide services and is not the employer of service providers.

  • Service providers are considered independent contractors, not employees of GetYano.


2. Eligibility

  • Users must be 18 years old or above to register.

  • You confirm that all information you provide is truthful, accurate, and up-to-date.

  • GetYano reserves the right to verify user identities in compliance with DTI and SEC regulations.


3. User Accounts

  • Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login details.

  • Unauthorized use of another account is strictly prohibited.

  • GetYano may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.


4. Services & Bookings

  • Customers may request services via the app, and providers may accept or decline requests.

  • Customers must provide accurate service details (location, time, requirements).

  • By booking, customers agree to allow providers safe access to their premises, if applicable.


5. Payments

  • Payments are processed via Philippine Peso (₱).

  • Customers agree to pay the displayed service fee.

  • Service providers will receive payouts after deduction of platform fees/commissions.

  • GetYano may hold payments temporarily for verification, anti-fraud measures, or dispute resolution.


6. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Customers may cancel bookings before the service provider begins traveling or performing the service.

  • Refund requests will be handled in accordance with the Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394).

  • No refunds will be issued for completed services unless proven fraudulent or grossly misrepresented.

  • Repeated no-shows or false bookings may result in suspension of user accounts.


7. Code of Conduct

  • Customers must treat providers respectfully and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Service Providers must perform services professionally, lawfully, and reliably.

  • Any abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe behavior may result in immediate account termination.


8. Disputes

  • In case of disputes, GetYano may assist in mediation but is not liable for the quality, safety, or outcome of services.

  • Users acknowledge that service agreements are ultimately between Customer and Provider.


9. Intellectual Property

  • All trademarks, logos, and digital content on GetYano remain the property of GetYano Technologies [or legal entity name].

  • Unauthorized copying, resale, or misuse of intellectual property is prohibited.


10. Limitation of Liability

  • GetYano is not liable for damages, losses, injuries, or disputes arising from services delivered by providers.

  • The platform operates on an “as-is” basis without warranties.


11. Privacy & Data Protection

  • GetYano complies with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

  • Personal information will only be collected, processed, and stored for legitimate business purposes.

  • By using the app, you consent to the processing of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data as provided under the law.


12. Changes to Terms

  • GetYano reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.

  • Users will be notified of significant changes via the app or registered email.

  • Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.


13. Governing Law

  • These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

  • Any legal disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Cebu City, Philippines.
